Accounting, Bookkeeping Specialist - Part Time

Media Sales Plus is looking for a well-organized, knowledgeable, and driven candidate to join our finance team.

The Accounting, Bookkeeping Specialist is responsible for day-to-day and end-of-month accounting and financial reporting tasks. May assist with the timely and accurate preparation of all daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) used to evaluate the Company’s performance and level of compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). This is an entry-level to mid-level role.

The Accounting, Bookkeeping Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process accounts receivables, payables, and cash receipts in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Prepare balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports and analyses.

  • Journal entry work and payroll processing.

  • Prepare and maintain relevant financial reports and analyses including cost and expense analyses.

  • Prepare P&L analysis between actual, budgeted, and forecasted financial information.

  • Complete required tax forms.

  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local legal requirements.

  • Prepare and submit KPI reports that detail performance on customer SLAs.

  • Assist with the implementation of software products and other automation opportunities to improve the accuracy and timeliness of various reports.

  • Prepare and maintain procedural documentation for all assigned tasks.

  • Provide support on other projects as needed.


  • Minimum of Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups.

  • Knowledge of GAAP or other industry-standard accounting frameworks.

  • Proficient in the preparation of complex financial analyses and professional presentation documents (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

  • Experience working with accounting systems including QuickBooks.

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.

  • Experience with timely payroll processing.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and math skills.

This role provides hybrid in-office/remote working opportunity after the introductory period has been completed. We are looking for this person to work a schedule of Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
